The National Science and Technology Council is now open to receiving applications for the 115th Annual "Research Project on the Translation and Annotation of Classics in Humanities and Social Sciences." The pertinent details are as follows:
1. According to Article 4 of the "Operational Guidelines for the National Science and Technology Council’s Subsidy for Research Projects on the Translation and Annotation of Classics in Humanities and Social Sciences" (hereinafter referred to as the Operational Guidelines), project leaders must submit the "Concept Proposal Form for the Translation and Annotation of Classics" (hereinafter referred to as the Concept Proposal Form) by August 31st, 2025. This form should include the title of the classic work, author, edition, and other relevant information. Additionally, a copy of the correspondence verifying the copyright authorization status for the Chinese traditional (complex) characters of the work must be attached. The completed form should be sent via email (subject line: Professor ○○○’s Concept Proposal for the Translation and Annotation Project) directly to the Humanities Division contact person at the Council (no institutional cover letter is required). 2. Upon academic review confirming that the proposed list of works meets the classical standard and aligns with the development direction of the discipline, and upon approval by the Council’s Humanities Division "Committee for the Review of Translation and Annotation of Classics," the Council will notify the project leader to submit a formal application for the Translation and Annotation Research Project (hereinafter referred to as the Annotation Project) within the announced deadline.
