The National Science and Technology Council's "Research Project Industry-Academia Value-Added Incentive Program" will be discontinued as of January 1st, 2027.

The National Science and Technology Council's "Research Project Industry-Academia Value-Added Incentive Program" will cease operations starting January 1st, 2027. The pertinent details are as follows:

1. To foster the industrialization of research outcomes funded by the Council, the aforementioned program was initiated in 2018. Considering the Council already offers diverse resources to support industry-academia collaboration—such as the Industry-Academia Cooperative Research Program, the Advanced Technology Industry-Academia Cooperation Program, the Industry-Academia Technology Alliance Cooperation Program, and the Practical Research Projects for Technical and Private Universities—this program will be terminated as of January 1st, 2027, and applications will no longer be accepted from that date onward.

2. Applications submitted to the Council on or before December 31st, 2026, will be processed in accordance with the original application guidelines and relevant regulations. Projects that have already received additional funding will continue to be executed as approved until their completion.
