Project funds | 1. The National Science Council (NSTC) and the Austrian National Science Foundation (FWF) each bear the research funds required by the country’s researchers for the cooperation project. 2. Our subsidy for "expanded value-added" per case is capped at NT$600,000 per year. However, the actual funds approved are subject to the review results. 3. The project leader may apply for research funds needed to implement the bilateral cooperation plan, including: business expenses required for international cooperation (including research labor costs and supplies), research equipment expenses, travel expenses abroad, etc. 4. If the application is jointly selected by the Association and the Austrian side (FWF), the Association may take the initiative to increase the international cooperative research hosting fee by NT$5,000 per month; however, the project coordinator will be responsible for the execution of various international cooperation projects. During this period, only one international cooperative research hosting fee can be paid. |

Project focus | 1. The Austrian National Science Foundation (FWF) is Austria’s main basic academic research subsidy unit. Its main tasks are to strengthen international scientific and technological cooperation, promote the development of humanities and social sciences, and implement science and technology at the cultural and social levels. 2. Cooperation areas include all basic research areas. 3. Researchers from both parties will work together to carry out this project based on their common research themes and complementary professional knowledge. Both parties must closely integrate the research content and have scientific input to jointly achieve the expected project goals. 4. The project name (Title) of the application submitted by both parties must be the same. The research content may differ according to different expertise, but both must meet the scientific and technological development goals of their respective countries. |

Objects/qualifications | Taiwanese project hosts should meet the following qualifications: 1. Only those who are currently implementing the association’s subsidized research projects (hereinafter referred to as the “original project”). 2. The original plan in the preceding paragraph does not include planning promotion plans, bilateral agreement country cooperation plans and industry-university cooperation plans.
