National Yunlin University of Science and Technology Bachelor's Program in Intelligent Robotics Sincerely Invites Applications for Two Full-Time Non-Establishment Teaching Positions (Application Deadline: September 30th)

Recruitment of Two Full-Time Non-Establishment Teaching Personnel

I. In accordance with the University Act, Teachers’ Act, Act Governing the Appointment of Educators, Employment Regulations for Professional Technicians Teaching at Universities, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology’s Regulations on Appointment and Promotion of Full-Time Faculty, Guidelines for Recognizing Practical Industry Experience of Faculty, Principles for Employing Full-Time Non-Establishment Teaching Personnel in Colleges and Above, and Management Guidelines for Employing Full-Time Non-Establishment Teaching Personnel with University Funds, among other relevant statutes and regulations.

II. Faculty Requirements and Academic Expertise
1. Qualifications: Possession of a doctoral degree (or holding a certificate of Assistant Professor or above).
2. Academic Expertise: Group robotics, industrial robotics, collaborative robotics, mobile robotics, visual mapping and localization, industrial Internet of Things, industrial design, or other robotics-related specializations.
 
III. Basic Application Requirements
1. Ability to conduct instruction in English.
2. Possession of a doctoral degree recognized by the Ministry of Education (or holding a teaching certificate of Assistant Professor or above). For foreign degrees, applicants must submit verified copies of diplomas and transcripts authenticated by Taiwan’s overseas representative offices.
3. At least one year of practical industry experience relevant to the teaching field is required (applicants must provide proof of related work experience; however, full-time certified teachers employed before the enactment of the Technical and Vocational Education Act are exempt).
4. Submission of documents (please refer to Section V, Application Procedure).

V. Application Procedure:

2. Required Documents:

  1. Yuntech’s New Full-Time Faculty Application Form and Declaration (attached or downloadable from the Personnel Office’s form download section).
  2. Copies of academic certificates (for highest foreign degrees, verification by Taiwan’s overseas representative offices of diplomas and transcripts is required, along with proof of entry and exit dates issued by the Ministry of the Interior’s National Immigration Agency):
    (1) Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree certificates;
    (2) Transcripts for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral studies.
  3. Proof of personal experience: appointment letters, service certificates from previous teaching institutions, and relevant licenses or other supporting documents related to the teaching field.
  4. Proof of industry experience: documentation of at least one year of practical work experience related to the teaching field. Certified full-time teachers employed before the enactment of the Technical and Vocational Education Act are exempt.
  5. Copy of teaching certificate at Assistant Professor level or above.
  6. Copy of identification document.
  7. Abstract of doctoral dissertation or representative publications (please attach 2 to 3 representative works).
  8. List of relevant publications and authored works within the past five years, as well as a catalog of research projects led or participated in.
  9. Proof of English proficiency.
  10. Handwritten autobiography.
  11. Syllabi of related courses taught in the past two years (if applicable, please specify course titles).
  12. Brief description of subjects and course outlines eligible to teach (including compulsory and elective courses).
  13. Teaching materials and reference resources.
  14. Introduction to areas of expertise.
  15. Two letters of recommendation from professors.

Please scan all supporting documents into PDF files, divided into 15 separate files, named sequentially and according to the above list and titles (e.g., “1. Yuntech New Full-Time Faculty Application Form and Declaration_Wang Daming”). Each scanned document must be signed and stamped with the statement “Certified True Copy.”

VI. Appointment, Registration, and Employment Matters:
1. The university will notify successful candidates in writing to report for registration within the stipulated period, presenting relevant documents and submitting a recent health examination report from a public hospital (including a chest X-ray clearance certificate). Failure to report without justifiable cause or failure of current employees to submit proof of resignation from their previous institution will be deemed as forfeiture of the appointment. Vacancies will be filled by alternates in order of ranking, limited to the number of positions available.
2. Candidates diagnosed with statutory or other communicable diseases that impede teaching, failure to submit health examination reports within the deadline, or those who fall under disqualifications stipulated in Article 14, Paragraph 1 of the Teachers’ Act and Articles 31 and 33 of the Act Governing the Appointment of Educators, will have their appointments revoked.
 
VII. Outstanding full-time non-establishment teaching personnel demonstrating excellence in teaching, research, and service may, through open selection procedures in accordance with the Act Governing the Appointment of Educators and the university’s regulations on faculty appointment and promotion, be appointed as full-time establishment faculty members.
 
VIII. Any matters not covered herein shall be handled in accordance with the University Act, Teachers’ Act, Act Governing the Appointment of Educators, and other relevant laws and regulations.
