Dear Professors, Colleagues, and Students,
In alignment with Yuntech’s energy-saving and carbon reduction policies, and to alleviate the electrical load during daytime peak hours, it is advised that when utilizing the GOC AI Console for model training or large-scale computations, priority be given to employing the “Job + Schedule” method, setting task execution times during off-peak nighttime hours.
The AI Console now supports scheduled execution; users may specify the desired start time upon job submission, and the system will automatically initiate computation at the designated period.
This approach offers the following benefits:
- Effectively reduces electrical load during daytime peak periods
- Enhances overall GPU resource utilization efficiency
- Minimizes task queue waiting times
For non-urgent model training, data preprocessing, or batch computation tasks, please prioritize scheduling execution accordingly.
However, teaching activities, real-time inference services, or time-sensitive project requirements may continue to operate during daytime hours.
We appreciate your cooperation in jointly fostering a sustainable campus environment.
Respectfully,
Office of Library and Information Services
