【Important Notice】Announcement on Adjustments to the Use of iThenticate and Turnitin Plagiarism Detection Databases (Second Dispatch)

Dear Teachers and Students,

In order to efficiently allocate iThenticate resources and ensure the seamless fulfillment of plagiarism detection needs for all faculty and students, adjustments to the use of iThenticate originality checking will be implemented on(September 7, 2026). The relevant details are as follows:

1. iThenticate Reserved Exclusively for Teachers:

Due to the limited number of iThenticate originality checking credits purchased by the university, to prioritize the research needs of teachers, all master's and doctoral students are requested to switch entirely to the Turnitin plagiarism detection database.

2. Turnitin Transition Instructions

To facilitate a smooth transition for students previously using iThenticate, a 7-day conversion period will be provided (from September 7, 2026 to September 14, 2026):

  1. Automatic Activation (No Manual Application Required):Existing doctoral student users have been pre-enrolled in the Turnitin system.
  2. Master’s Students: Please apply via https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/f7a856p4YJ.
  3. How to Begin Using Turnitin:Please check your university email inbox for an “Activation Notification” sent by the Turnitin system. By clicking the link and completing the setup, you may immediately begin uploading documents for plagiarism checking. For detailed instructions, please consult the publisher’s website at https://www.igroup.com.tw/turnitin-feedback-studio/user-guide-student/.

3. Important Reminders

  1. Backup Historical Reports:If you have any undownloaded reports from the “iThenticate originality checking service,” please log in and download them promptly within the transition period.
