Funding Details

Each project may receive up to NT$240,000 per year.

The NSTC will cover travel and insurance expenses for Taiwanese researchers visiting Poland, and living expenses for Polish researchers visiting Taiwan.

This program does not provide funding for research expenses such as personnel, materials, or computing costs.
Project Duration

January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027 (Two-year projects in principle)

Funding for the second year will be granted only after the completion and approval of the first year’s project report.
Program Overview
To cultivate international collaboration experience among early-career researchers in Taiwan, foster global academic networks, and enhance international mobility, the NSTC signed a cooperation agreement with the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) in 2001. This agreement established the Project-Based Personnel Exchange Program (PPP Program) to promote bilateral researcher exchange aimed at formulating joint research projects and strengthening scientific collaboration.
Eligibility

Taiwanese Principal Investigators (PIs) must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the NSTC’s Guidelines for the Operation of Research Project Grants.

Project participants may include co-PIs, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students.
Additional Notes

PIs from both Taiwan and Poland must submit their proposals to the NSTC and PAS respectively before the application deadline. Proposals submitted by only one party will not be considered valid joint projects.
